Yin Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga; A Perfect Marriage

How many times in your ashtanga or vinyasa practice have you struggled with tight muscles or strained ligaments? I know I have and it became frustrating when I wasnt able to utilize my Ashtanga yoga practice as a means to relieve the discomfort or heal the injury. The reason for this is because dynamic movement is not what the body needs in order to create health and efficiency of the connective tissues (joints, tendons, ligaments; tissues that support the muscles) - It is long held passive postures utilizing conscious breath and the tensions of pulling and compression.

The health of the connective tissues are integral for the integration and fluidity of energy flow as a means to create freedom for the muscles to build strength, flexibility and conduct electrical currency to the organs so they can work to keep our bodies at optimal balance.

Yin Yoga provides the exact methodology needed to support a dynamic practice and has been integral in the physical, energetic and spiritual shifts I have benefited from and have been available to receive through my Ashtanga practice.

Bibi Lorenzetti and I are so excited to come together and offer you this complete physical, energetic and spiritual experience that will take your practice to the next level. By sharing these perfectly complementary practices with us on this retreat, you will gain new insights into your life on and off the mat.
